An Introduction to Magnetic Rods

The standard Separator Magnet Rods measure 10,000 Gauss on their surface. They are made from “Neo” (NdFeB) Rare Earth magnets assembled in repulsion. The magnets are encased in a food quality stainless steel casing that is welded sealed, cleaned and then polished. The ends of the Rods are M8 tapped. This allows for either attachment to other Separator magnets or to make an assembly. Please contact e-Magnets UK if you require a bespoke assembly to be produced.

The Separator Magnet Rods can be bought in stock sizes ranging from 50mm long up to 750mm long in 50mm increments. The rods are 25mm in diameter and are supplied with M8 tapped holes at the ends.

The 25mm diameter rods also exist, as bespoke products, in 75mm to 1500mm lengths (in 25mm increments with and without the M8 tapped holes at the ends) with the following specifications:-
+80 deg C rating with 10000 Gauss (10kGauss) and 12000 Gauss (12kGauss; 125mm min length);
+100 deg C rating with 10000 Gauss (10kGauss) and 12000 Gauss (12kGauss; 125mm min length);
+120 deg C rating with 10000 Gauss (10kGauss) and 12000 Gauss (12kGauss; 125mm min length);
+150 deg C rating with 10000 Gauss (10kGauss) and 11500 Gauss (11.5kGauss; 125mm min length);
+180 deg C rating with 9000 Gauss (9kGauss);
+200 deg C rating with 9000 Gauss (9kGauss); and
+350 deg C rating with 9000 Gauss (9kGauss).

The Magnetic Separator Rods also exist, as bespoke products, in 25mm x 25mm square cross section in lengths from 75mm to 1500mm (in 25mm increments with and without the M8 tapped holes at the ends) with the following specification:-
+80 deg C rating with 10000 Gauss (10kGauss) and 12000 Gauss (12kGauss; 125mm min length).

The Magnetic Separator Rods also exist, as bespoke products, in 50mm x 50mm square cross section in lengths from 100mm to 1500mm (in 25mm increments with and without the M8 tapped holes at the ends) with the following specification:-
+80 deg C rating with 10000 Gauss (10kGauss) and 12000 Gauss (12kGauss; 125mm min length).

Ferrous contamination can be removed from free-flowing substances such as tea, coffee, sugar, animal feed, grains, powders, shredded plastics/paper/metals, etc.
