Magnetic grids are designed for fitting in hoppers, to remove ferrous contamination from free flowing dry materials, such as suger,tea,plastic granulate and chemicals. They are placed inside the hopper to rest against the sides thus allowing the material to flow through the grid. The grids have a number of highly magnetic bars that capture the ferrous contamination and then hold it on their undersides away from the product flow. It can then be easily wiped clean during routine cleaning. The magnetic bars are stainless steel tubes containing high energy rare earth magnets to give an amazing flux density of 10,000 gauss on the surface. The bars are pitched to give the optimum magnetic straining effect and yet allow the product to flow through without bridging.
