Neo Magnets

THE ORIGINAL ONLINE MAGNET COMPANY

Neodymium Magnets

Neodymium magnets are often known as neo magnets for short and most people when referring to them will call them this.

Neo magnets were originally developed over 25 years ago, they were available in 1984 and were firstly made for voice coil motors in computer hard disk drives, even today this market accounts for over 50% of all neo magnets that are produced. They are also used in many other applications including high-performance motors, sensors, loudspeakers, and generators just to name a few.

Neo magnets are the strongest in the world and are made from an alloy of neodymium iron and boron to form their structure. They are the first choice for many applications this is due to them offering the greatest performance with the smallest volume.

Magnetic Output

The magnetic output of the neo magnet will vary with temperature. The output will fall with increasing temperatures but will usually return as it begins to cool. You can reduce the magnetic output through a temperature that is too high, this is called permanent demagnetisation.

Permanent demagnetisation depends on the magnet shape, the actual shape of the BH curve, and the total magnetic circuit. If a magnet is kept in the correct conditions and is always kept dry and no magnet plates are broken and no external damaging fields are applied to it, it should theoretically retain its magnetism forever.

Here at e-magnets, we supply and manufacture neo magnets online, our extensive range is in stock and ready to be distributed to you the same day (order up to 4 pm for next day delivery) Our super performance neo magnets are available as blocks, discs, rings, spheres, and many other variations.
