Button magnets are simply horseshoe magnets in a compact circular format. They are made from Alnico 5.
All sizes of Button magnet have clearance holes for mounting and can work at temperatures up to 500 deg.C.
Button magnets must not be recessed into ferrous materials as it will short cut the magnetism.
